Tam Bui has extensive experience as an Electronics Engineer, having worked in various companies and roles over the years. Tam is currently employed at Vispero™, where they are responsible for designing and developing products with a Bluetooth 5.0 low energy RF module for individuals with low vision or blindness. Tam also manages design changes to reduce costs for existing products. Prior to Vispero™, Tam worked at Spectrum Brands, Inc as an Electronics Engineer, where they were involved in hardware design, development, and manufacturing testing of a cost-saving product. Tam also led electrical projects and was responsible for developing schedules, reporting engineering status, and obtaining certifications. Before that, Tam worked at IronKey Inc as a Hardware Engineer, where they designed and developed a highly secure USB flash drive 2.0. Their responsibilities included board design using Pulsonix schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, board stack-up, and signal integrity analysis. Tam also gained experience at Nortel Networks as a Hardware Engineer, where they designed and developed an innovative and cost-effective 8-port XFP 10G Ethernet line card. This product became a significant revenue source for Nortel. Prior to Nortel, they worked at Alteon Web Systems as a Hardware Engineer, where they designed a 48-port 1G copper Ethernet line card and simulated high-speed signals for analysis. Throughout their career, Tam has consistently demonstrated their expertise in electronics engineering and product development.
Tam Bui pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Electronics/Electrical System Engineering at the University of Regina in Canada. During this time, they also obtained a minor in Computer Science. This educational endeavor took place from 1995 to 2000.
