Jack Hennessy

Mr. Hennessy is a Managing Director with Baring Private Equity Asia (“Baring Asia”), the largest Asian private equity, real estate and credit investment firm in Asia with over US$11 billion under management. The firm specializes in buyouts, real estate and credit investments targeting growing businesses with enterprise values between US$300 million and US$3.0 billion. Primary investment markets include China, India, Japan, South East Asia, South Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The firm has been actively investing in Asia since 1997, currently has 40 active portfolio companies and 160 professionals across eight offices in Asia.

Mr. Hennessy joined Baring Asia as Managing Director in 2001 and has extensive experience in the education, business services and information and data analytics sectors . He sits on the boards of several Baring Asia portfolio companies.

Mr. Hennessy was an Adjunct Professor at INSEAD from 2006 to 2008 where he taught the Leveraged Buyout (LBO) course. He received a MBA from INSEAD and Bachelor’s Degrees in both Engineering (with Honours) and Science from Monash University in Australia.
