Jim Hassinger

Jim Hassinger has a diverse work experience in various media-related roles. Jim started their career in 1975 at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as a researcher and subsequently became a story editor and producer. Jim worked there until 1981. From 1984 to 1991, they were a producer at CBC's Maritimes region for a show called "Country Canada," focusing on the natural world of food production. Jim then worked at Captions, Inc. as an editor from 1997 to 2006. Following that, they served as a technical coordinator at JR Media Services, specializing in captions and subtitle editing in DVDs and home videos. From 2011, they joined Axium Digital, Inc. as an editor. Currently, they are employed at Visual Data Media Services, starting in 2017, in an asset delivery role.

Jim Hassinger completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors English at Concordia University from 1961 to 1965. Jim further pursued their education at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1966 to 1968, where they obtained their Master of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts.
