Visual Exchange is an organization dedicated to participatory art-based processes and action-research for social innovation and empowerment.

We bring individuals, groups, and organizations into shared spaces that foster dialogue, peacebuilding, creativity, and co-creation with communities and audiences from a wide range of backgrounds. Our work supports people in drawing on their own resources, amplifying unheard voices, and developing a deeper understanding of their environments to question issues, generate solutions, and co-create meaningful impact.

Grounded in art and applied social sciences, we primarily use art-based research and Participatory Visual Methods to explore social issues from within. We work collaboratively with participants to strengthen individual and collective capacities, producing qualitative data, advocacy and awareness materials, creative artefacts, and context-specific insights that inform bottom-up approaches.

We offer consultancy, research, workshops, training, coaching, monitoring-evaluation services and project design, with a strong emphasis on creativity, empowerment, and social innovation.
