Dr. Danny Bickson is currently the CEO of Visual Layer and a creator of the fastdup open source project. With a background that includes leadership roles at Turi, which was acquired by Apple, Dr. Bickson worked for five years at Apple as a senior manager in applied data science. Their journey in machine learning began with the GraphLab project at Carnegie Mellon University, where they collaborated with others to implement large-scale analytics. Dr. Bickson has significantly contributed to the field through various roles in academia and industry, earning the VLDB Test of Time Award in 2023.
