Visual Persistence helps organisations turn complex, multidimensional ocean insecurity challenges into clear strategies, products and operational systems. With almost 20 years of experience at the intersection of environmental, social and security risk, the consultancy specialises in use-case diagnosis, blending marine science, data, social science and socio-psychology to define the real problem and design practical pathways to implementation.

Visual Persistence provides innovation pathway consultancy for large-scale listed maritime technology companies, in particular product development for SRT Marine and Ocean Infinity. This work contributes to their globally deployed systems for sustainable oceans through maritime domain awareness, autonomous and remote operations, fisheries monitoring, stakeholder engagement, digital inclusion and multidimensional ocean intelligence from sovereign security to anticipatory adaptive management solutions for aquatic ecosystem resource management.

Related projects include multi-sensor UAS and drone platforms (including collaborations with BAS on drones and sensor payloads) and underwater/coastal monitoring solutions used by governments and agencies for surveillance, mapping and ecosystem protection. Earlier work on spatial assessment of marine biodiversity received a Microsoft award in 2013 for over 10 years of development of ReefScan methods for underwater 3D scanning and classification.

Visual Persistence has also developed social impact and trust building content engaging society with the environment through sustainable innovation. This body of work has reached billions of views for brands such as Red Bull, GoPro, Discovery and National Geographic Channel, and has been recognised with MVAs, CADS, Emmys and a Golden Butterfly Award. The same narrative and visual toolkit now supports clients who need diagnostics, product innovation and public engagement to align behind measurable impact for the ocean.
