Mark Procopio

Mark Procopio is the current CFO at Visual Sound. Prior to this, they were the interim executive director at Creative Alliance from April 2021 to December 2021. In this role, they provided interim executive leadership to a community arts organization in leadership transition with 15 full-time employees and a $3M budget as it reopened to the public and handled the financial impacts of the COVID-19 public health crisis. Mark also conducted organizational operations and culture assessment, supported effective management and decision-making, crafted recommendations for future structure and policies, and managed transition and onboarding of a new executive. Additionally, they managed a $5.7M construction project.

Before their work at Creative Alliance, Procopio was the founder of Procopio Consulting from July 2020 to December 2021. In this role, they built a freelance consultancy focused on change management, complex problem solving, strategy, planning, research, and writing. Mark provided interim executive leadership services to organizations in leadership transition and provided coaching to nonprofit executives and senior leaders across functional areas. Additionally, they researched, developed recommendations, and authored a report on state teacher recertification policies. Lastly, they developed and led the process for the development of a policy platform for a campaign for statewide office informed by more than 150 policy experts across 13 issue areas including economic and small business development, procurement, entrepreneurship, economic disparities, and tax policy.

Mark Procopio has a Resident Teaching Certificate from The Johns Hopkins University in the field of Education. Mark also has a Bachelor of Science - BS in International Economics and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in International Finance from The Catholic University of America.
