Andrea Maniscalco

Head of HR, Training & Communities at Visualitics

Andrea Maniscalco has extensive work experience in a variety of roles and industries. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Customer Satisfaction consultant at GRUPPO TEKNO, where they developed long-term customer satisfaction methods and analysis tools. Andrea also coordinated, produced, and analyzed customer satisfaction surveys.

From 2012 to 2016, Andrea worked at Seriso.it as the Owner and Coordinator. Seriso.it provided companies with consultant services of applied social research. Andrea then transitioned to being a Researcher and Research Coordinator, where they conducted research on illegal gardens in the south suburbs of Turin and future redevelopment projects.

Andrea also worked at the Sociology Department at the University of Bologna as a Researcher, providing methodological support and conducting research for the project focused on improving and developing the Fondartigianato system in Emilia-Romagna.

Andrea was a Business Process Analyst jr Consultant at Fiat Group for Aizoon, where they analyzed business processes, and a Researcher at the Atlante delle professioni - Università degli Studi di Torino, contributing to research projects on professions and competences.

Beginning in 2014, Andrea worked on their Ph.D. in Economic Sociology and Labor Sociology at the Università degli Studi di Milano and the University of Eastern Piedmont. Their Ph.D. dissertation focused on long-term trends in the Italian intergenerational social mobility during the 20th century.

At Visualitics, Andrea held multiple roles. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Business Intelligence Consultant and Certified Tableau Trainer & Consultant. In 2019, they became a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant & PM / HR Manager / Certified Tableau. And since January 2021, they have been serving as the Head of HR, Training & Communities.

Alongside their professional roles, Andrea has also worked as a Contract Professor at the Università degli Studi di Torino. Andrea taught courses on data analysis for business intelligence, becoming a data-driven organization, self-service analytics, and Tableau software.

Andrea Maniscalco has a diverse education history. In 1998 to 2003, Andrea attended Liceo A. Volta Torino but did not obtain a degree. Andrea then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Science-Sociology at the Università degli Studi di Torino from 2003 to 2006. Following this, from 2007 to 2010, Andrea completed a postgraduate degree in Sociology at the same university.

In 2012, Andrea attended Scuola su Metodo e la Ricerca Sociale at Paideia, focusing on the selection and combination of indicators. Andrea furthered their studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2015, where they participated in the Summer School in Survey Methodology. Continuing their academic journey, from 2014 to 2015, Andrea pursued a Ph.D. in Economic Sociology and Labour Studies at Università degli Studi di Milano within the Graduate School in Social and Political Studies.

In 2016, Andrea attended the ECPR - Winter School in Methods and Techniques at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, where they took courses in Introduction to R and Structural Equation Modelling with R.

Additionally, Andrea has obtained certifications in Tableau, including Tableau Certified Associate Consultant from Tableau Software in 2017 and 2021, and Tableau Desktop Certified Associate from Tableau Software in 2017 and 2019. They also hold an Internal Quality Auditor - ISO 9001-2000 certification from AICQ Piemontese.
