Kate Baker

Kate Baker is a seasoned professional in the field of sustainability and circular economy, currently serving as the General Manager - Circular Economy & Sustainability at Visy since June 2021. In this role, Kate leads the development and execution of sustainability strategies focused on carbon reduction, climate resilience, and sustainable packaging innovations. Prior to Visy, Kate held several significant roles, including Senior Sustainability Specialist at Telstra and Manager at EY, where responsibilities included assisting clients in identifying and managing sustainability risks, as well as enhancing their sustainability practices. Kate is actively involved in various industry groups, such as the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation and the Australian Forest Products Association, and has contributed to discussions on modern slavery as a member of the advisory group under the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) honours in Environmental Science from the University of Melbourne.
