Matthew Smith is currently the General Manager of Workforce Optimisation and has extensive experience in employee and industrial relations. Previously, they served as the Associate Relations Lead for Mars in the ANZ region from 2024 to 2025, and as the National Industrial Relations Manager at Visy from 2019 to 2024. Their earlier roles include Head of Workplace Relations at Metro Trains Melbourne from 2018 to 2019 and National Manager of Employee Relations at Toll Global Logistics from 2014 to 2018. Matthew holds a degree in Employment Law from Monash University, which they completed from 2008 to 2010.
