Matt Sarney

Matt Sarney is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering management and solution architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at VitalSource since July 2016, Matt oversees multiple applications and work streams for key customer-facing products, focusing on cloud infrastructure and technologies such as Ruby/Rails, Elixir/Phoenix, and Google Cloud. Prior to this role, Matt held various positions at Xerox over two decades, including Senior Solutions Architect, where technical expertise was provided for PCI-DSS compliance projects, and Manager of System Engineering and Operations, managing an IoT system with large-scale database operations. Matt began a career in technology at Kodak as a helpdesk support before earning a BS in Computer Science from SUNY Brockport.
