Sam Herring

Sam Herring serves as Vice President and General Manager at VitalSource since December 2017. Previously, Sam was President and CEO of Intrepid Learning, Inc. from June 2011 to November 2017 and was a founding member of Intrepid Learning Solutions in 1999. Under Sam's leadership, Intrepid developed its first SaaS learning products and established itself as a leader in learning consulting and technology. In addition to these roles, Sam held significant positions including Executive Vice President at Intrepid Learning Solutions and Chairman of the American Society for Training and Development's (ASTD) Board of Directors. Sam holds a BA in History from Yale University and a Master’s degree from Harvard University.
