Anthony Back is a distinguished medical professional with extensive experience in oncology and palliative care. Serving as Co-Director at the Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence at the University of Washington since September 2015, Back also co-founded VitalTalk in July 2014, focusing on enhancing communication in healthcare. As a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Washington since 1994, Back has contributed significantly to medical education. Previously, as a Medical Oncologist at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance from July 2005 to September 2015, Back specialized in gastrointestinal oncology and palliative care while leading the Program on Cancer Communication. Educational achievements include an MD from Harvard Medical School (1984) and an AB in Humanities from Stanford University (1980).
