David Erickson

David Erickson is currently the S.C. Thomas Sze Director and Sibley College Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University, where they have been serving since 2019. Prior to this role, they were a Sibley College Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies at Cornell from 2005 to 2019. In addition to their academic responsibilities, they have held leadership positions as Chairman at VitaScan and Halo Labs, Inc., and as Co-Founder and Board Member at Dimensional Energy since 2017. David earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. They also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the California Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2005.
