Chief Innovation Officer at Vitech

Brian Selvy has an extensive work experience in the field of systems engineering and project management. Brian currently serves as the Chief Innovation Officer at Vitech, where they are responsible for product roadmaps and developing unique solutions for engineers. Prior to this role, Brian worked as a Project Manager at NSF's NOIRLab, overseeing the United States Extremely Large Telescope Program. Brian has also held positions as a Principal Systems Engineer at Vitech Corporation, Director of Systems Engineering at World View, and Systems Engineering Manager at the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). Brian has worked on various projects in the aerospace industry, including Honeywell Aerospace, Paragon Space Development Corporation, Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, Meggitt PLC, and Space Exploration Technologies. Their expertise lies in requirements, verification, and validation, as well as managing technical and project processes.

Brian Selvy's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Brian attended the university from 1998 to 2003. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Systems Architecting and Engineering from the University of Southern California, which they completed in 2009. In 2017, they enrolled at the INCOSE Institute for Technical Leadership, where they studied Systems Engineering Leadership until 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Brian has obtained several certifications. These include the Aha! Roadmaps (professional) Certification from Aha! obtained in February 2023, the Mastering Design Thinking certification from Emeritus obtained in May 2022, and the OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP): Model Builder - Fundamental and Model User certifications from OMG obtained in August 2014 and July 2014, respectively.
