Robotics Software Engineer at VitiBot

Guillermo Herrera has a diverse work experience in different companies. Guillermo started as an intern in DIRECTV Venezuela in 2015, followed by an internship at Biomekatrónica de Venezuela, C.A. in 2016, where they developed a myoelectric control system for a 3D printed prosthetic hand. In 2017, they worked at ALTERINFO C.A. as a Development Engineer, where they were responsible for developing hardware and software for the battery recharge control and monitoring system of a type 209 submarine. Guillermo was also a part of the team that developed the hardware and software for a Digital-to-Synchro Converter Module. In 2020, they worked as a Robotics Innovation Intern at Extia, where they developed a Multi-Robot System controlled by vision. Guillermo joined lextan in the same year as a Software Developer specialized in Embedded and Autonomous Systems, where they worked until 2021 as a Team Leader. Guillermo is currently working as a Robotics Software Engineer at VitiBot, where they started in 2023.

Guillermo Herrera obtained a Master's degree in Robotics Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Nantes from 2018 to 2020, with a focus area in Control and Robotics: Advanced Robotics. Guillermo also holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar from 2011 to 2017. In terms of additional certifications, they have completed courses in project management, visual perception for self-driving cars, state estimation and localization for self-driving cars, introduction to self-driving cars, and version control using Git from Coursera, with the most recent being Foundations of Project Management, obtained in December 2021.
