Andrew Ryan

Andrew Ryan is a Fundamentals Analyst at Vitol, specializing in the Middle Distillates desk since April 2023. Prior to this role, Andrew spent nearly a decade at Shell, where responsibilities included serving as a Fundamentals Analyst on the Fuel Oil and Feedstocks desk, a Bunker Trader, and various leadership roles such as Lead Refinery Economist and Hydrocarbon Supply Chain Consultant. Notable achievements at Shell involved techno-economic modeling, linear programming for refinery optimization, and network optimization for supply chains. Andrew’s early career included positions at Infineum, progressing from Project Engineering Intern to Process Contact Engineer. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
