Jay (Zixuan) Yang has a diverse background in the mining and energy sectors, with experience spanning several key roles. Employment began as a Blasting Technician at China Shenhua Energy Co. Ltd. in 2012, followed by a Short-Term Mine Planning Internship at CMOC in 2013. A Geotechnical Engineering Internship at Shell from May 2014 to August 2015 enhanced expertise in engineering applications. After roles as a Cu/Co/Mo Traffic Analyst and Cu/Co Trader & Business Development at Glencore from January 2017 to January 2019, Jay currently serves as the Head of Africa Metals Origination at Vitol since March 2025.
