Toby Close

Toby Close has significant experience in the energy and finance sectors, currently engaged at Vitol since August 2016 in various roles related to gasoline, middle distillates, and oil derivatives. Prior to this, Toby participated in the Crude Oil & Product Trader Programme at Intercontinental Exchange for a brief period in May 2016. Toby also demonstrated strong leadership and event management skills as Head of Events for the St Andrews Charity Fashion Show from April 2013 to March 2015, overseeing a substantial budget and complex negotiations. Additional experience includes roles at J.P. Morgan, UBS AG, Waitrose, and Compass Group, showcasing a diverse skill set ranging from technology and data visualization to sales and customer service. Toby holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the University of St Andrews, completed in 2016.
