Cuauhtémoc Daniel Suárez Ramírez

Head Of Data Science at Vitro

Cuauhtémoc Daniel Suárez Ramírez has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Cuauhtémoc Daniel currently holds the position of Head of Data Science at Vitro, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Aquila Advanced Analytics as an Analytics Team Lead from February 2022 to May 2023. During their time there, they developed an AI system for automatically generating orders based on client inquiries, utilizing computer vision, natural language processing, and SQL Server. Cuauhtémoc Daniel also trained a neural network model for detecting item descriptions from PDF documents using computer vision techniques and the PyTorch framework.

From April 2021 to February 2022, Cuauhtémoc worked as a Senior Analytics Analyst at ALTAIR Consulting. During this role, they developed a novel approach to estimate the probability of default for a bank's clients after the global pandemic, using survival analysis, deep learning, and time-series analysis. Cuauhtémoc Daniel implemented the model using Python and PyTorch, accessed loan historical data using SQL, and tracked code changes using Git. Cuauhtémoc Daniel also wrote a conference paper about the model using LaTeX.

Cuauhtémoc began their career as a Master Degree student in Computer Science at Tecnológico de Monterrey from August 2018 to December 2020. Their research focused on specialized optimizers for Binarized Neural Networks applied to image classification and image detection. Cuauhtémoc Daniel was awarded a full tuition scholarship and a national grant for graduate students with outstanding grades.

In 2020, they had a research internship at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to their graduate studies, Cuauhtémoc worked as an EID Intern at GE from May 2015 to August 2018. During this time, they co-founded the Robotics Division of CIAT and developed data science tools for predicting when a motor requires a water wash, using programming languages such as VBA, JSL, Python, and R.

Cuauhtémoc Daniel Suárez Ramírez holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Cuauhtémoc Daniel also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from Universidad Abierta y a Distancia de México, earned from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Digital Systems and Robotics at Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2012 to 2017. Furthermore, they have obtained several certifications including Qubit by Qubit's Introduction to Quantum Computing Course, the NVIDIA DLI Certificate in Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA C/C++, and various data science-related certifications from Coursera and TestDome.
