Alexander Brouwer

Founder / CEO at Vive

Alexander Brouwer has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Alexander started their career at Fortis Bank (Nederland) NV in 2005, where they worked in Corporate Finance & Capital Markets. In 2007, they joined Willis Towers Watson as an Investment & Risk Consultant, providing investment consultancy for Dutch pension funds and handling financial reporting and analysis. In 2011, they moved to ING Investment Management as a Fixed Income & Derivatives Trader.

In 2012, Alexander joined Blloom as a Consultant, specializing in investment consultancy for pension funds. In 2016, they co-founded Surance, focusing on validating personal pension solutions for Dutch residents and being selected for incubator programs at ING and Rockstart.

In 2019, Alexander founded Vive and became the CEO. Under their leadership, Vive launched a wealth management platform in the Netherlands, achieved regulatory licensure for wealth and pension management from AFM, and introduced investment plans and a personal pension solution for employees and contractors. Alexander continues to grow the Vive platform and aims to reach 10,000 paying customers.

Alexander Brouwer has a Master of Science degree in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Additionally, they also hold a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from the same institution.
