Wilhelm Almer

Wilhelm Almer has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Wilhelm currently holds the position of Technical Director at VividCloud since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at VividCloud as the Chief Solutions Architect from September 2018.

Before joining VividCloud, Wilhelm worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Senior Technical Account Manager from April 2018 to September 2018.

From 2014 to 2018, Wilhelm worked at Sophos, where they had multiple roles. Wilhelm started as a Software Engineering Manager in July 2014 and held this position until April 2018. Wilhelm also served as a Team Lead for Solutions Architects from January 2017 to July 2017, and as an Architect for Cloud Infrastructure from October 2014 to January 2017.

Prior to Sophos, Wilhelm worked at Webroot, where they were the Manager of Software Development from May 2014 to October 2014. Before that, they were the Team Lead for Software Development from March 2013 to May 2014, and a Senior Software Engineer from December 2010 to March 2013.

Wilhelm's earlier work experience includes roles at Utimaco Safeware AG, where they were a Senior Software Engineer from August 2009 to December 2010, and a Software (Senior) Engineer from 1996 to 2010. Wilhelm also worked at Utimaco Safeware Inc as a Software Engineer from July 2008 to August 2009.

Wilhelm Almer obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Science from Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In addition, they received the certification of AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional from Amazon Web Services in January 2021.
