Roy Chuang has a diverse work experience in user experience design and industrial engineering. Roy started their career at Heroway Furniture Manufacturing as an Industrial Engineer Intern, where they conducted time study analysis and proposed productivity improvement solutions. Later, they joined Carhartt and Royal Technologies Corp as a part of sponsored collaborative projects, focusing on exploring concepts of comfort and increasing brand awareness.
In 2013, Roy worked at Siemens as a UX/Interaction Designer before moving to Langstinct, Inc in 2017. At Langstinct, they held the position of Design Lead & Co-founder, where they co-founded the company, defined the brand vision, and led the design team in executing design works for products, branding, and marketing.
Since 2014, Roy has been working at VIVOTEK as a User Experience Designer, responsible for UX design on multiple surveillance products across platforms. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, generating design strategies, developing UX design processes, and conducting user research and usability testing.
Throughout their career, Roy has demonstrated a strong background in user experience design, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Roy Chuang earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Roy then pursued further education at King's Design & Art School from 2010 to 2011, earning a Certificate in Industrial Design. Roy later attended the College for Creative Studies from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Systems Design Thinking (Former Interdisciplinary Design).
