Usman Bashir

Usman Bashir has over 19 years of work experience in various roles within the technology and software development industry. Usman is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Vivup since October 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Head of Software Engineering at Investis Digital from November 2017 to October 2021.

Before joining Investis Digital, Usman worked at MSLGROUP as the Deputy Technical Director from September 2014 to November 2017. Usman'sresponsibilities included coordinating offshore team operations, managing and mentoring development teams, and ensuring project deliveries with time, cost, and resource allocations. Usman also provided support in proposal writing and cost estimation for new projects and implemented quality delivery and processes across the digital team.

From June 2008 to September 2014, Usman served as the Technology Manager Online at deltatre s.p.a. Usman managed and mentored the development team, led project teams, coordinated relationships with headquarters and offshore teams, and ensured project deliveries.

Prior to that, Usman worked as a Software Developer at Craneware from June 2007 to June 2008, where they were responsible for system analysis, design, data acquisition, data mining, and internal software tasks. Usman also gained experience as an IT Consultant at Aarajura from March 2006 to January 2007, where they implemented software and customization solutions and conducted research and development for new technological solutions.

Usman's career started at COMSDEV, where they held the role of Project Manager from October 2005 to January 2006. Usman managed development teams, recruited and trained project personnel, resolved escalated implementation issues, and ensured bug fixing and the successful implementation of software customization.

From October 2004 to October 2005, Usman worked as a Software Developer at DESCON, leading a team of developers and a tester, conducting system analysis and design, and developing applications using advanced technologies and practices.

Earlier in their career, Usman served as the IT Manager at Autonetnetzone from April 2004 to September 2004, managing IT operations and coordinating the IT department's activities. Usman also founded and worked as a Project Manager at Gripsoft from November 2002 to September 2004. In this role, they managed development teams, recruited and trained project personnel, conducted user requirement specification studies, and executed and monitored project plans.

Usman Bashir pursued their higher education starting in 2000 at Allama Iqbal Open University. Usman completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2004. Afterward, they went on to join Heriot-Watt University in 2006, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Technology-Embedded Systems. Usman successfully completed their studies at Heriot-Watt University in 2007.
