Shichen Wang

Shichen Wang has worked as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Vizgen since June 2023. Before that, they worked at Ambry Genetics as a Supervisor/Bioinformatics Scientist III from March 2022 until June 2023, and as a Bioinformatics Scientist III from September 2020 until June 2023. Prior to Ambry Genetics, Shichen worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Texas A&M AgriLife from March 2016 until September 2020. Shichen's earliest work experience was as a Research Associate at Kansas State University from September 2009 until April 2011, after which they worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist/Programmer I until February 2016.

Shichen Wang earned a Doctor of Philosophy with a focus on Bioinformatics from Jilin University between 2002 and 2008. In addition, they obtained several certifications on algorithms, data structures, and machine learning from Coursera between 2015 and 2017.
