Chuck Devries

Chuck DeVries has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Chuck has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise and leadership skills.

Chuck started their career at Hughes Training, Inc as an IT Analyst in 1994. Chuck then moved on to i.con interactive, where they served as the Technical Director. During their time there, they established a technical business unit, recruited employees, and acted as a liaison for clients such as Wyndham Hotels and Frito-Lay.

In 1997, Chuck joined Viant as a Tech Lead. In this role, they led a consulting team and worked with clients like Sears and General Motors. Chuck also provided cost and feasibility analysis, project plans, and staffing requirements for various projects.

Chuck then worked at Efficient Networks, Siemens as an e-Business Architect. Chuck set up technology systems and development standards, managed a team of developers and contractors, and implemented integration standards using EAI and web services.

Afterwards, Chuck joined Pier 1 as an Enterprise Software Architect on a contract basis. Chuck led a small team in building a real-time inventory tracking and reporting system.

In 2004, Chuck joined Broadlane as the Director of Core Applications. Chuck was responsible for IT Operations and Development, introduced Agile development methodologies, and managed a wide range of responsibilities including Java web coding, .NET, EDI, and database administration.

Chuck then joined Sabre Airline Solutions in 2005, serving in various roles including Vice President of Enterprise Engineering and Vice President of Airline Product Development. Chuck played an instrumental role in developing airline products and enterprise architecture.

In 2020, Chuck became the Chief Technology Officer at Vizient, Inc. Chuck has held several roles within the company, including Vice President of Enterprise Architecture & Strategic Technology, Chief Technology Officer, and currently, the SVP, Technology Officer.

Chuck DeVries earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Binghamton University from 1990 to 1994. Chuck then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Arlington, completing it from 1996 to 1999.
