Michael D. Busch

Michael D. Busch, FACHE, serves as Senior Vice President of Member Networks at Vizient, Inc., a position held since 2020, and previously held the role of Vice President, Member Networks. Busch boasts extensive experience in health care management, having served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Excela Health from 2010 to 2019, where leadership included daily operations and strategic planning for a regional health system. Prior roles include Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Butler Health System, and CEO positions at West Penn Allegheny Health System's Primary Care Network and UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh's community care subsidiary. Busch's earlier experience includes financial leadership roles as CFO at both The Western Pennsylvania Hospital and Penn State Hershey Milton S Hershey Medical Center, along with a background in healthcare finance advisory services with The Hospital Association of Pennsylvania. Busch holds a Master of Professional Management in Health Care Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Juniata College.
