Bert Reekmans

Bert Reekmans is an experienced innovation advisor currently working at Innovation Center Antwerp since October 2008, where responsibilities include advising start-ups and SMEs on innovation processes and opportunities for partnerships and subsidies. Simultaneously, Bert serves as a detached collaborator at Voka Mechelen. Previously, Bert held various roles at Tessenderlo Group from February 2000 to April 2008, including R&D Manager, overseeing a team of nine in product development and being part of the Marvyflo Management team. Prior experience includes positions as a Market Development Engineer at Shell and a Technical Service Assistant at NIMC in Tsukuba, Japan. Bert earned a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and completed education at Vlerick Business School and the University of Antwerp.
