David Thibodeau

David Thibodeau is a Partner and Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group at VLP Law Group LLP, where the focus is on patent portfolio development and strategic IP advisory. Previous experience includes serving as a Partner at Cesari and McKenna, LLP, advising technology firms and investors on IP matters, and as a Principal and Shareholder at Hamilton Brook Smith & Reynolds PC, where support was provided for a range of intellectual property issues. David also held legal roles with AirNet Communications as General Counsel and engaged in patent litigation and application processes at Cesari and McKenna and Nutter. Early career began as a Patent Attorney at Raytheon and included engineering positions at Sanders Associates and IBM. David holds a JD from Suffolk University Law School and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, David has experience as an adjunct professor at UNH School of Law, specializing in Patent Practice.
