Steven Thomas

Steven Thomas is a Mechanical Engineering Technologist with extensive experience in product development and mechanical design. Currently employed at VMAC since November 2021, Steven transitioned into product development in June 2023, taking on the lead designer role for new hydraulically powered air compressor products and addressing internal issues related to supply chain disruptions and manufacturing defects. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Mechanical Designer at Iron Focus Design, where Steven contributed to multiple industries by implementing design procedures. Other notable roles include structural design at Pride Signs and project management at Astron Specialty Metals, alongside various co-op positions that provided a robust foundation in mechanical design and engineering. Steven holds an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Conestoga College, as well as a Bachelor of Technology from McMaster University.
