Jim Kovach is a Principal at VMDO Architects, where they focus on designing environments that profoundly influence how individuals live, work, and play. They co-founded the Charlottesville Community Design Center, contributing to community engagement through design from 2004 to 2006. Previously, from 2006 to 2010, Jim served as a Project Manager and Designer at Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects. They also shared their expertise as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Virginia from 2003 to 2007. Jim holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Architecture from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
