Since its inception, the Vakkom Moulavi Foundation Trust (VMFT) has stood as a vibrant intellectual hub in Trivandrum, committed to advancing the progressive values and ideals of social reformer Vakkom Moulavi. Drawing people from all walks of life, VMFT has been a catalyst for dialogue and development through its numerous seminars, public discussions, and educational initiatives in the social, political, economic, scientific, and cultural arenas of Kerala.

The late Shri K.M. Bashir, our Founder, began meticulously collecting materials for a biography of Vakkom Moulavi, archiving historic newspapers such as Swadeshabhimani, Deepika, and Al-Islam. After his untimely passing in 1990, his vision was carried forward by his wife, Smt. Aisha Bashir, whose continued support enabled the Trust to thrive.

Today, VMFT continues to be a centre for thought leadership, heritage preservation, and transformative education—upholding the enduring legacy of Vakkom Moulavi.
