As CEO and regional director of VMLY&R Latin America, John spearheads the largest advertising network in the region. In his position, John is responsible for leading the VMLY&R offices, serving as the catalyst in obtaining new business while also providing support throughout the global network.
Based in Miami, John has an impressive multicultural marketing background. With more than 25 years of experience in marketing, John has worked with some of the most notable brands in the world. His expertise in digital and mobile advertising has led to numerous successful and award-winning campaigns for clients.
Before VMLY&R was established in 2018, John joined Y&R from Grey Group Spain, where he served as president and CEO. He directed the agency’s efforts in digital development, brand development, strategic planning and new media. During this time, John successfully worked alongside major national and international clients, such as P&G, Seat, GSK and La Caixa. Prior to his time with Grey, John was the regional director, EMEA, for G2. John began his career at OgilvyOne London and went on to McCann Erickson, where he was regional director for MRM Europe in 2001.
John has a degree in Hispanic studies and Latin American literature from the University of Hull. His passions, among others, are music, literature, sports and classic cars.
