Ben Abbott

Ben Abbott has worked in the IT industry since 2013. Ben began their career as a Pre-Sales Engineer at NetBrain Technologies Inc., where they presented live demonstrations to potential customers, demonstrated software on customer networks, and provided technical support. In 2015, they moved to Cygilant as an Inside Sales Engineer. In 2018, they joined VMRay as a Senior Security Solutions Engineer. Prior to their IT career, Ben worked at YMCA Camp Lawrence from 2009 to 2010, first as a Senior Counselor and later as a Senior Unit Head, where they provided direct leadership for campers and staff, organized unit programs and special events, and guided, directed and evaluated the performance of the staff and campers in the Senior Unit.

Ben Abbott attended The George Washington University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In 2011, they participated in a study abroad program at the University College Dublin. In 2017, they obtained their CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA.
