Micha Ris has a diverse range of work experience in finance and accounting roles. Micha started their career as an Auditor at KPMG Nederland in 1999 and worked there until 2006. From 2006 to 2007, they were the Group Financial Reporting Manager at Unilever, responsible for delivering financial reports. Micha then became the Head of Unilever's Parent & Holding Department from 2007 to 2009. After that, they served as the Head of Finance at LG Electronics, overseeing various departments. From 2011 to 2013, Micha worked at Stork, a Fluor Company, as the Director of Accounting & Reporting and Change Manager for Finance Transformation. Micha then joined Arcadis as the Director of Group Reporting & Corporate Accounting from 2013 to 2017, and later as the Director of Global Finance Transformation & Integrated Reporting from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Director Finance Operations at VodafoneZiggo, leading multiple teams.
Micha Ris has a comprehensive education history. In 1995, Micha attended Erasmus University Rotterdam for a Master of Science degree in Business Economics, which was completed in 2000. In 1999, Micha participated in an exchange program at Hofstra University, focusing on International Finance and International Business. Micha continued their education at Erasmus University Rotterdam, completing a Post Master Accountancy degree in Certified Public Accountant/Registeraccountant from 2000 to 2003. To further enhance their skills and knowledge, Micha pursued additional certifications. They obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the University of Amsterdam in 2019. Additionally, Micha became a Registeraccountant (RA) through the Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants (NBA) in 2010. In 2018, Micha participated in the WBCSD Leadership Programme at the Yale School of Management and attended the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program at the University of Amsterdam the following year. In 2015 to 2016, Micha completed the Young Executive Program at de Baak.
