David Townsend

David Townsend is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software development, project management, and product innovation. Currently serving as Principal Manager at Vodafone since July 2017, David oversees the development and delivery of solutions across Group Technology, including an infotainment platform with a vast user base. Previous roles include Programme Director at Accedo.tv, where David managed UK programme delivery for multi-screen video streaming applications, and Technical Project Delivery Manager at Oregan Networks, focusing on Set Top Box middleware projects. David's early career included technical consultancy and project leadership positions at Ubiquisys, Infineon Technologies, Panasonic, and Fulcrum Systems, complemented by an MBA from the University of Surrey and advanced degrees in engineering from the University of Reading and the University of South Wales.
