Peter Howard

Peter Howard has extensive experience in telecom security, currently serving as the Lead Telecoms Security Architect at Vodafone since September 1995, where responsibilities include overseeing security for both mobile and fixed networks. Prior roles at Vodafone include Network Security Architect, focusing on mobile network security, and Security Research Engineer, contributing to research programs and industry standards. Peter also held various security research roles within Vodafone. From May 2003 to November 2011, Peter was the Vice Chair of the security group SA3 at 3GPP, responsible for standardizing security features for GSM, 3G/UMTS, and LTE cellular networks. Peter began his professional journey as a Sponsored Student at BT, following an MEng in Electronic Systems Engineering from Aston University earned between 1991 and 1995.
