Vicky Lopez has a diverse work experience in education and fundraising. Vicky started in 2018 as a Global Service Scholar at the Blum Center for Global Poverty Alleviation, where they conducted research and developed standardized tests for a high school in Paraguay. In 2019, they worked as an intern at the Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara County, assisting with document completion and translation for Spanish-speaking clients. Later that year, they joined Teach For America as a Corps Member, teaching in under-resourced public schools and organizing recruitment events as a Campus Ambassador. From 2018 to 2020, Vicky also served as the Director of Fundraising at UCSB First. Currently, they hold the position of Principal at Voices College-Bound Language Academies.

Vicky Lopez holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology, with a minor in English, from UC Santa Barbara, which they obtained from 2016 to 2020. Vicky also has a Master's degree in Education, with an emphasis on English Learner Equity and Bilingual Authorization, from National University, which they completed from 2020 to 2022. Furthermore, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Education Leadership + Preliminary Administrative Credential from San Diego State University, which they pursued from 2024 to 2025. Vicky also obtained certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid from the National CPR Foundation in June 2020 and a Certificate of Clearance for Education from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in May 2020.
