Mark Butler has worked for several companies over the past two decades. In 1996, they began their career as a Taxonomer at Datafusion Inc. Mark then moved to Metacode Inc. in 1999, where they served as an Information Engineer. In 2000, they joined Interwoven Inc. as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. In 2006, they founded Linguastat, Inc. and served as its Founder until 2016, when they joined Voise Inc. as VP Engineering + Founder. In 2018, they began lecturing at the University of California, Berkeley.
Mark Butler attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1990 to 1996, where they received a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree in Library Science.
