Chief Marketing Officer

Martin Kaufmann studied physics at the University of Regensburg, Germany, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA and the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany. Additionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD in France. He started his career with a well-known international consulting firm where he worked five years advising clients mainly in the technology but also other sectors with a focus on growth strategies.


In 2005, Kaufmann joined Voith where he owned different management roles at Voith Group and Voith Paper in Heidenheim as well as Voith Paper Inc. in Appleton, USA. Since 2009 Martin Kaufmann worked in different roles with Voith Turbo Industry. He started as CFO, then became Managing Director for Variable Speed Drives, before taking on the responsibility for Product and Project Management of Voith Turbo Industry in 2016.


Since August 1, 2018, Martin Kaufmann is a member of Voith Turbo Management Board. After being in charge of New Technologies & Development for more than two years, he has been responsible for the Division Industry since February 1, 2021.
