Stephan Backes

Stephan Backes has extensive experience in research and development within the Voith Group, beginning in July 2018, where roles have included Director of R&D, Technology and Service for Non-Contact Drying and Guiding, Head of R&D and Technology for the same division, and Global Product Manager. Prior to this, from October 2015 to April 2016, Backes served in Global Operational Excellence at Voith Paper. Backes holds a Master of Science degree in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen mit Fachrichtung Verfahrenstechnik from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, obtained between 2010 and 2017.
