Dmitry Sokolowski

Dmitry Sokolowski has a diverse work experience spanning over various tech companies. Dmitry is currently part of the Mindshare Class of 2023, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they co-founded VOLT AI in 2019 and served as a Co-Founder. Before that, they worked at Facebook as part of the Engineering Leadership team from 2018 to 2020. Dmitry also held a similar role at Uber from February 2017 to November 2018. Dmitry held the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager at Apple from July 2015 to 2017. Prior to Apple, they worked as a Software Development Manager at Amazon Web Services from August 2012 to July 2015.

In terms of entrepreneurship, Dmitry founded the Google Music iOS Application in 2011, where they developed a mobile iOS application for Google Music. Dmitry also founded Streamedy in 2009, where they designed a music streaming service allowing users to access their iTunes music collection through the cloud.

Earlier in their career, Dmitry worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate from January 2010 to August 2012. Dmitry was responsible for building new business, consulting, and managing multiple engineering projects within government agencies. Dmitry also held the role of Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton during the same period. At Vantage Strategy Consulting, Dmitry worked as the CTO from February 2009 to January 2010, where they provided end-to-end technical solutions, developed implementation and integration strategies for open source CMS/CRM systems in Cloud Computing environments, and supervised software development cycles.

Dmitry Sokolowski holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from The George Washington University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Dmitry has obtained several certifications in topics including Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks, Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization, and Optimization, as well as Neural Networks and Deep Learning. These certifications were obtained from Coursera in 2017.
