Andrew B.

Andrew B. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2008, they worked as an intern at the Museum of Science, where they conducted educational experiments and taught guests about the importance of plants. In 2010, they became a classroom teacher at Our Sisters' School, teaching math and science to fifth and eighth graders and developing the curriculum for all three classes. Andrew then worked as a group leader at Cambridge Adventure Day Camp, where they organized daily activities for a group of second graders and trained high school counselors-in-training. From 2012 to 2014, Andrew worked as a mathematics teacher at Shaloh House, overseeing the math curriculum, teaching multiple grade levels, and creating and teaching an after school program called Math Lab. In 2014, they became a group leader at Kidsborough, managing a group of students and designing math and science curriculum. From 2015 to 2016, Andrew served as a math and ELA teacher at Eastern Point Day School, responsible for curriculum design and implementation, as well as introducing programming instruction to the students. In 2016, they joined ISO Developers as a PHP developer, collaborating on sophisticated websites and applications and designing an iOS app. Andrew then pursued independent work as a crypto investor in 2017 before joining VoltDB, Inc. as a support engineer in 2018.

Andrew B. has a diverse education history. Andrew started their education at Boston College from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology & Human Development. Later, from 2012 to 2015, Andrew pursued their Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Mathematics at Lesley University. In 2015, they attended General Assembly and completed a program in Back-End Web Development, earning a certification in the same field. Subsequently, Andrew continued their education at General Assembly and completed a program in Backend Web Development and Data Science Immersive from 2015 to 2017, where they obtained a certification in Data Science Immersive. Additionally, in 2015, they received the Microsoft Technology Associate certification in Operating System Fundamentals from Microsoft.
