Helen Platis

Helen Platis has a diverse and extensive work experience, starting with their current role as Chief Commercial Officer at Volta Technique since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Managing Director at A Poke in the Brain Consulting from 2014 onwards, where they focused on developing market entry strategies, identifying acquisition targets, and negotiating joint venture agreements. Additionally, they coached and mentored startups as an Entrepreneur in Residence for a Clean Tech Fund.

Helen also held the position of Director Client Services at QUEST from 2017 to 2019, and served as the President of Lacuna Canada from 2016 to 2018. Before that, they worked at Stantec as the Vice President of Client Development from 2015 to 2016, and as the General Manager/President at SKY Solar Canada/SKY Solar Developments from 2010 to 2014.

Earlier in their career, Helen held the role of Vice President of Operational Solutions at Elenchus from 2008 to 2013, where they launched a new practice focusing on strategic planning and operations. Helen also served as the Vice President of Operations Canada at Direct Energy from 2002 to 2007, leading business transformations and negotiating contracts for outsourcing customer care services.

Helen Platis has a diverse education history. Helen obtained an ICD.D degree from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2015. Before that, they completed an Executive MBA from the same institution in 2000. Earlier in their educational journey, Helen pursued a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Toronto in 1990. Lastly, they completed their undergraduate studies at Queen's University, where they earned an Honors BA in Economics.
