Sofia Marechal is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy and finance sectors. Currently serving as a French Foreign Trade Advisor at French Foreign Trade Advisors since September 2022, Sofia promotes French international trade and reinforces France's economic presence in Spain. As Chief Executive Officer of Voltalia Spain since May 2015, Sofia leads the delivery of over 1,500 MW utility-scale solar and wind assets, manages a significant project pipeline, and oversees a multidisciplinary team. Previous roles include Head of Investment & Funding for Africa, Middle East & Asia at Voltalia, where Sofia successfully executed €300 million in project financings, and Vice President in Investment Banking at BNP Paribas, advising on over €5 billion in transactions. Sofia holds a Master of Science in Management from HEC Paris.
