Ahmet Uyar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Ahmet began their career as a Research Associate at Community Grid Labs, Indiana University, where they focused on developing a scalable video conferencing system using a Java-based publish-subscribe system. Ahmet then moved on to the role of Assistant Professor at Computer Engineering, Mersin Üniversitesi, where they worked until 2011. After that, they joined Computer Engineering, Melikşah Üniversitesi as an Associate Professor and Department Head, a position they held until 2016. In 2017, Ahmet joined Digital Science Center - Indiana University as a Remote Post-Doctoral Researcher, where they developed GPU Cylon, a distributed DataFrame processing engine using CuDF and OpenMPI. Currently, Ahmet is working at Voltron Data, first as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2021 to April 2023, and then as a Staff Software Engineer starting from April 2023.

Ahmet Uyar completed their education in a chronological order. Ahmet first attended Cukurova University from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a degree in Elektrik Elektronik Mühendisi (Electrical and Electronics Engineering). Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer and Information Science from Syracuse University, which they completed between 1998 and 1999. Finally, Ahmet Uyar went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer and Information Science from Syracuse University, graduating in 2005.
