Sheng L. has a wealth of work experience in the asset management and consulting sectors. In 2019, Sheng L. became the CEO & Co-Founder of VoltShare. Prior to this, Sheng L. worked as a Freelance Consultant specialising in Utilities from 2016. In 2018, Sheng L. worked as a Value Framework Development Contractor for Copperleaf Technologies, a company that develops innovative approaches to making asset investment decisions. In 2017, Sheng L. was a Strategy Consultant for Accenture and a Common Network Asset Indices Modelling (CNAIM) for UK Power Networks. In 2015, Sheng L. was a Senior Strategic Consultant for Amey and was involved in the Asset Regime Management (ARM) Tool development project. Sheng L. also worked for Heathrow in 2015 as part of the Amey Strategic Consulting team for the Heathrow ISO55000 Certification Engineering Support. In 2014, Sheng L. was a Consultant for Accenture and was involved in the ScottishPower Smart Metering Programme. In 2011, Sheng L. worked as a Senior Asset Data and Risk Engineer and an Asset Risk Engineer for UK Power Networks.

Sheng L. attended Imperial College London from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Cambridge Tutors College from 2003 to 2004, where they obtained their High School A Levels. In addition, Sheng has obtained several certifications, including a Charted Engineer (CEng) from the Engineering Council in October 2016, an IAM Diploma (Distinction) from the Institute of Asset Management (The IAM) in June 2016, an IAM Certificate from the Institute of Asset Management (The IAM) in November 2013, a PRINCE2 Practitioner from APM group and TSO in December 2009, and a Substation Entry from UK Power Networks in November 2009.
