VoltStorage
Saar Kirmayer currently serves as Head of Research and Development at VoltStorage, focusing on the development of an iron hybrid flow battery for grid-scale energy storage. Prior to this role, Kirmayer worked at Landa Labs as an R&D Materials Researcher, where materials research for energy harvesting and storage was conducted. At StoreDot, the roles included Battery Innovation Group Leader, managing teams dedicated to innovative fast-charging battery development, and R&D Materials Scientist, responsible for new materials and advanced processing techniques. Kirmayer began a postdoctoral fellowship at the Weizmann Institute of Science, working on solid-state sensitized solar cells, and previously conducted research at UC Berkeley on self-assembled block copolymers. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Materials Engineering and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
