VolumeOne is an international practice specialized in architectural and urban design as well as consulting services in construction and sustainable strategies.

At VolumeOne, we perceive urban, economic, environmental, and technical parameters as catalyst for new ideas and unconventional concepts while the specific local conditions and the client’s requirements resemble the initial point of departure for each project. A central concern in our practice is to fulfill our social responsibilities in the built environment by studying human behaviors, investigating cultural patterns, and addressing social as well as environmentally sustainable practices.

VolumeOne maintains an interest in collaborations across cultures and locations. This is reflected in the firm’s current and past variety of project locations in the United States, Germany, China and Spain. Our collective professional experience encompasses a wide array of building types and scales, including office, hospitality, residential, institutional, and cultural buildings, exhibition architecture, landscape design as well as medium and large urban design projects, and master planning. Our firm is experienced to execute a project from programming to design and through construction, including construction documentation. For international projects, VolumeOne maintains successful relationships with associate architectural and engineering firms and specialty consultants and is involved in every phase of a project.

VolumeOne’s organizational structure as open-ended practice allows to be a flexible partner in challenging projects. Our objective is to strive for quick and efficient processes, which is capable of partnering with local associates for the highest quality and best services possible.
