Claeys Koen

Claeys Koen has extensive experience in procurement and supplier performance management within the automotive industry, particularly at Volvo Cars. Currently serving as the Global Director of Procurement for the Plant Team, Claeys has also held various managerial positions, including Global Manager of Supplier Performance Management Operational Development and Senior Group Manager of SQM Propulsion. Previous roles at Volvo Cars Gent and Volvo Car Sverige included Site SQM Manager and Resident Manufacturing Engineer. Claeys began their career as a Process Engineer at both Volvo Cars and Niko. Academically, Claeys holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Chemistry from Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven', completed between 1996 and 2001.
